Slowfire is a songwriting duo comprised of Rick Rough (Mempihs TN) & Robert Propst (Springfield MO). They released their debut album, Beautiful Imperfections, in 2018, which featured 15 songs. In 2020, they followed up with, Wins and Losses, a 17 song collection. Then came Ransom Notes in 2022, a 19 song record. Now they have released their fourth studio album, Other Days, which features 12 new songs!

Rick & Robert are prolific songwriters who cross into multiple genres including: Americana, Folk, Blues, Country, and Rock. They are storytellers who blur the line between fact & fiction. They are at home writing songs from the heart...or from the cheek. Some will make you laugh. Some will make you cry. All of them will make you tap your feet. News

Slowfire Releases New Album "Ransom Notes"!

Most of these songs were written & recorded between March 2020 & December 20221. Certainly, we all  well remember that period of time. We named the album Ransom Notes because there were times in those days when it felt like we were being held hostage with vague & ever-changing ransom demands. No doubt you can relate in some way.

Our thanks go to our wives, Kendra & Mandy, for their love & encouragement. Bryan Hayes for his support & guidance. Tad Jewett for his mixing flair & expertise. All the musicians that helped us out. To ALL of our family & friends...thanks for cheering us on!
